iPhone 15 Pro Battery Drain Issue

I have bought iPhone 15 pro recently. The expectation is battery should be efficient, but is performing poor than iPhone 11. Especially Findmy app is used all night. The battery went down from 55% to 32%. Please help me to fix this?

Well, I just updated to iOS 17.0.3 and my iPhone 15 Pro 512gb natural titanium is still as warm as ever and the battery has still dropped 15% in one hour …

I talked to someone who works for Apple and they said it’s not gonna get any better that they had better venting and heat dissipation for the 14 pro with the stainless steel and that the A17Pro Chip gets too hot …and titanium doesn’t allow it to disperse. I don’t think any software update is going to make this work. and when you have a hot chip, you’ll have a battery that drains extra fast.

i’m going to further test it tomorrow on Thursday and see how it goes — and then I’m taking it back Friday (within the first 14 days) and getting all my money back. I’m glad I kept my 11 Pro. I would suggest everybody to do this as Friday is your last day to get your money back since it was the first day you could pick it up in the store

this is by all means a massive hardware design defect and there’s no remedying it. I don’t know what Apple‘s gonna do with this one. The only way they can stop it from getting hot is the throttle that A17 chip and the expert I talk to said that’s not even gonna help much. Some units are fine some aren’t. I’m not gonna gamble my $1500 on it again.

I am facing the same issues with my Iphone 15 Pro. I traded in an iphone 11 for the pro 15 and needless to say the battery is draining way faster than the corrupt battery in my former phone the 11 pro. When the 15 pro is on charger i cannot talk on phone or it wont charge. Additionally the apple mag charger and the usbc charger provided do not provide fast charging. I did a background app refresh and turned off all apps and it still takes over an hour an half to charge my phone even on airplane node. My former phone the 11 pro would charge while on the phone or off and be fully charged within 45 minutes.

I upgraded to the 15 Pro 256gb from an IPhone 11 and I was so looking forward to having a longer lasting battery since my 11 was 4 years old. This new battery doesn’t even last the day!!! It’s gone down 6% in the 15 minutes that I’ve been researching this. Like I’m not using it any more than usual but it just drops constantly. There must be something they can do to fix it, this was not a cheap upgrade 😔 The camera is also glitchy and definitely not living up to my expectations but that’s for another thread 😒

Same issue here. Once I went out all day from 6am to 11pm.

my phone ran out of batteries by 6pm.

i had two apple MagSafe battery pack with me. After charging the phone up to 75% with them twice. By 11pm I was at 8% battery life. I did not stream any videos on that day and I was in an area with bad internet connection. Also the stay on screen is turned off on my phone. Worse iPhone pro for battery life I ever had

Agreed, I have the iPhone 15 pro, surprise to me that this premium phone lasts less than the regular iPhone 15, I get that the pro has a faster chip and 120hz refresh rate, but apple should have properly compensated for that, everything else is great on this phone, I feel slightly lied to about how the pro has more playback than the regular model when that’s not true, and I don’t want the pro max for the camera and screen size, other than that I’m quite happy with the purchase!

Hey guys, I got the new iphone and the battery is not so good. it's a bit better when on low power mode but i just got it last weekend!

I think it could be a software issue with the new IOS update but i've heard that the Pro series run at the speeds of the Macbook Air M1, so due to these speeds it may use up more battery and since the regular pro has a smaller battery it dies faster because it can't handle the speeds.

I also heard it constantly uses 5G network and always uses it when necessary and since this is always on regardless of 5G Auto, it uses up more battery because it's constantly searching for that capability

I hope Apple fixes these bugs soon or later because a lot of people are getting upset with the pro performance.

PLEASE HELP Apple!

Here in rural area of south east uk there is no 5G (yet) But location services kicking in when not supposed to. Set up so Safari webpages didn’t need location services and yet as sonn as I opened any page the location icon appeared! What gives Apple? Turn ming off loc serv helps but what about when I need to use them. This rollout of phone 15 and ios 17 seem to havd had little proper real world testing.

Yea what’s the point of having all these features in the phone when you have to keep them all off? They said the battery is larger and the chip is more efficient, yet the battery life is worse? That’s not ok. I urge you all to call into apple support and complain. I just pray this is a software issue that can be resolved. I don’t see them giving us new phones lol

Upgraded from iPhone13 Pro to iPhone 15 Pro and the battery life doesn't last more than a few hours. It is worse than my iPhone13 Pro which is >2 years old. For a new iPhone, you would expect a stronger battery life compared to previous models. Just using phone for basic calls, texts and whatsapp - nothing else.

Also, it overheats very quickly even when the phone is not in use (on standby) - anyone else having this issue?

Thank you for the polite reply. Unfortunately in other threads many of the people not experiencing issues or high rank forum members are being very dismissive…

In terms of the low signal issue, I’m a bit confused as my previous S22U has no problem.

I’m unsure exactly what the best thing would be… I definitely can’t use this as my main phone if the performance will be like this. At the same time, I really like the AW ultra 2 I got with it, and am enjoying the iOS experience right now. Would it be possible to get the device exchanged if things don’t improve?

If any iOS update Apple releases doesn’t help your device at all and you contact Apple Support to troubleshoot (or go to the Genius Bar at your local store) and they can’t get it to perform as it should they will likely offer an exchange in the hopes that it will work better.

As far as the signal issue…that may be something they can troubleshoot but they may tell you that you need to reach out to your carrier. It’s possible they just need to send out a carrier update. I’m a little less familiar with current needs with low signal because it’s been years since I had any issues other than when traveling in some rural areas and that’s pretty rare for me in the 6-7 states I travel around most in the South East region. When it was occurring it was definitely a carrier issue (issues with towers and carrier updates…and on occasion issues with them needing to do something on their end related to the account. Sorry it’s been a long time I honestly can’t recall. And we’re talking processes that may very well be obsolete at this point).

As far as what the best thing for you would be…that’s hard to say. Personally, I would tough it out and be patient because the phone isn’t quite 2 weeks old. It’s frustrating absolutely but relatively the time has been short so far. Unless it was a situation where I couldn’t afford to be patient. Then by all means I would stick with my previous device and return the iPhone until I could feel more confident that the issue has been fixed. (A lot of people seem to forget that not everything can be fixed with a snap of the finger and despite what some may think tech and its caveats are complex).
