iPhone 15 Pro Battery Drain Issue

This response is a complete waste of time.

Brand new iphone 15 Pro with no change in usage from my 13 Pro. Yet, here I am, on day 2 of having the phone, googling why my battery drained from 100% at 8AM to 38% by 2pm.

I upgrade every year. Just upgraded 14 Pro to 15 Pro on September 23rd. The 14 Pro wasn’t great on battery. Battery life on the new 15 Pro has been atrocious. Something is definitely wrong. If it’s software related, I’m willing to wait for the fix. But if this is a hardware issue, I would want to return the phone. Wish I knew before the return window expires.

I have the same Issue, Switched from Iphone 13 Pro with 90% battery capacity and the battery of the Iphone 15 Pro is definetly worse, and not by a bit. After 6 hours I have only 52% battery left what is staggering. in my opinion for a phone of 1380 euro.. I already put of automatic refresh location etc. also the always on screen I put off.

Im Not sure what’s up with you’re phones but my 15 Pro Max will last just as long or longer than my old phone. Which was the XS Max. I’m sure whatever is wrong apple is going to have a fix soon. Just based on all of this stuff people are saying with their iPhones running warmer than normal. That says right there that more power is being used than normal. So I’m sure once they fix that, this issue will go away. Personally I’m not having one. Everything has been great with my iPhone except the Uber Driver app constantly glitching but that’s on Uber not apple.

Im shipping mine back to apple , glad i didnt send out my iphone 14 pro max yet for trade in… im using my 14 promax to browse social media, coz it last longer.. and using the 15 pro max to text and call only.. such a hassle to return all accessories aswell.

you are doing the right thing! I sent mine yesterday and do regret it already. I updated the ios today and still the battery suffers so badly.

keep your old one and send it back this apple disaster product.

Mine is iPhone 15 pro max and it is the same way. 11 lasted way longer and I thought it was bad but this brand new phone takes the cake for terrible battery life. I also have a very hard time holding it as it hurts my hands. I have also been dropping calls. I don’t know if that is the phone or something else? The phone seems to get very hot easily. I should have kept my old one and got a new battery

looks like im 100% for sure i will keep my iphone 14 pro max.. besides im doing upgrade program thru apple.. 1 more year of payment i get to keep it the phone... then i will sell the iphone 14 promax to upgrade to iphone 16,, hopefully apple sorts battery drain fix by then....

Yesterday was a good day for me. My iPhone 15 pro lasted a whole day on a single charge with moderate use. I’m still likely to return it an go back to my iPhone 13 Pro. It still works. Why spend the money?

Come on Apple! Fix the battery problem! So disappointed that I traded my 14 pro max in for the 15 pro! You should be able to use your smartphone and not have battery all day! Especially when it’s 1000 dollars! Tried to send it back but says it is too late! I didn’t even have it 14 days!

I had the 14 pro max 100% battery health lasted me a day and few hour next day with normal use

it was fantastic best battery I’ve had

but I just got the 15 pro max and I’m having to not use it much to save battery

but it’s not compared to my 14 pro max and surely it should be better or at least the same

they’ve made me a appointment at store but they’ll just say the same it’s ok battery seems fine

but it definitely isn’t I want to use my phone when I want without worrying about it draining

I havn 13 pro max and even after updating to iOS 17.0.3, the phone is continuing to heat up and the battery is draining fast.

I did a diagnosis and the hardware came back ok with battery health at 89%.

Any suggestions on what I can do?

I updated to iOS17.0.3 and can now get through the day, but leaving my phone off charge overnight I still got about 28% battery drain in 7 hours which seems excessive since I’ve disabled all app refresh & mobile, only connected to wifi. Anyone else having this issue?

This is not right. I have the 15 pro max. And using it for what it is designed for is killing the battery in less than a day. I am now trying to not use my phone which defeats the purpose of the phone. I have everything that would be good like alway on display and background refresh and notifications and brightness all turned down or off. It’s silly that the phone has these options but realistically cannot be used as it kills the battery. I have had almost every model previously and never had this bad of an experience. This needs to be fixed. This is not ok.

Yes that will help with charging it but doesn’t help with battery life unfortunately 🤷🏻‍♂️😔 but still good that you shared as I am sure a lot of peeps don’t know that you can turn of optimized charging. ☺️
