iPhone 15 Pro Battery Drain Issue

I am having this same issue. I had this issue on my previous phone for the last few months and now with this one. I’m wondering if it is an app or virus on my previous phone that I transferred to the new one? Anyone know if that’s likely? Or could just be defective battery on the new phone

I just got my iPhone 15 pro 3 days ago and I am very frustrated with the battery capacity. I have to charge the phone twice per day. The battery seems to be draining by itself without me really using the phone much. I purchased the blue titanium. I also purchased 15 pro titanium silver for my daughter and her phone seems to be working fine. Any updates on the fix for this yet??

Thanks for the advice, but it’s kind of weird beacuse my solution would be to plug it in again and charge it. Like I did the first day, three times. And it feels a bit contra productive.

I’ve reset the phones settings instead of the ones my iCloud brought in and turned of always on and standby.

I think the 17.03 patch helped a little, but it looks like the battery is underpowered compared to the battery. That’s a design trade off that Apple made. I’m not sure that the battery life will ever be as good as my iPhone 13 Pro.

Today is the first day I got my iPhone 15 pro max. 75% reduction in battery equated to 4:20 minutes usage time and 20 min idle time. No video or photo editing and no watching movies which would constitute a higher workload. This cannot be right and without drawing conclusions I can almost promise I’m not paying $1300 for 6 hours use. No optimizations set either.

I have the same battery issue, just upgraded my iPhone from 11 pro to 15 pro expecting my battery last longer and surprisingly the new IPhone performs worst than the 11.

How Apple is going to fix this? Are we allowed to request a refund?

I bought the iPhone 15 Pro last week as my iPhone 11 Pro died after a pushed software update. Apple says it's a hardware failure, I find it a weird coincidence. The battery life is awful! Less than four hours for me if you're using the camera. Apple needs to fix this and I need to contact them I am so unhappy!

My 13 pro has been acting crazy too. Battery draining face recognition not working at times and a bunch of other weird stuff.

That’s what led me to this thread… I was trying to see if a new phone would help. Clearly not. They release too quickly. Not the standards they use to have been declining for years in my opinion. Steve Jobs wouldn’t have allowed it.

Me too! I had a 13 Pro Max with 88% battery capacity and it kicked this 15 Pro’s butt. I even did an erase and set up as new last night. I turned off the always on display but this poor battery life is making me nervous.

I have a 15 pro max updated to latest official software but still the battery is sub par. It gets hot even with simple apps like social media and the battery drains very fast compared to previous pro max and even my s23 ultra. Really disappointed for now !

I bought 5 days before and seriously barrery draining is a serious issue. My phone was 100% at around 08.30 morning and by 04.00 pm its around 23% being sceen active 2h 57m. What a **** I don't understand. To check whether its because of wifi, location, bt, always on, data etc.... I turned it off. Today the cycle count is 11. Cheap mobiles are far better than iphone. I think i made a big mistake purchaing 15 pro.

I have the same problem. Is there going to be a fix/software update for this? I just got it a couple of days ago, and I am closing in on the window of time where I have to send my old one back. This phone is the same if not worse when it comes to the battery life of my iPhone 12, which is at 82% capacity. I would really like to know if I should return it, or if they will fix this. Battery life is not good, and the overheating seems to be prominent again, even though they said they "fixed" it. Not sure what the move is, any ideas?

I have the same problem. Already removed a ton of apps. Did everything to conserve battery power and itis still fast to drain. Very upset about this. I expecteda better iphone. Not something worse than the iphone I traded in. And apple is not acknowledge their part in this. They make you look like it is your fault thatthe battery is draining fast.

I returned my iPhone 15 pro a few days ago for a refund. Thankfully I still had my 13 Pro which still works fine. It’s a darn shame too, because I was quite pleased with the iPhone 15 pro, aside from the battery life. It was an otherwise good phone. As it is, I’ll try again next year with the iPhone 16/16 pro.

I was surprised to learn that the battery was even smaller than the iPhone 15 battery. It was apparently not big enough.

Thank you for trying this out! I followed your advice and switched the 5G off, however the phone lost 15 percent of battery capacity despite a minimum screen time of 1 h 30 min within 10 hours of usage (of which the phone was on flight mode almost eight hours). So I don’t see any change in behavior with 5G off unfortunately.
