iPhone 15 Pro Battery Drain Issue

Same here. I upgraded from my iPhone 11 Pro to a 15 Pro. I’d typically have 30-40% left after a day with my 11. I’m down to 10-20% with the 15 with the same usage. I don’t have an Apple smartwatch, so it’s unrelated to that possible issue.

Oh! They always on display has to be a huge drain. I’ll definitely try doing that one.

also, I didn’t realize Instagram was not optimized for iOS 17 I’ll do the same.

I like the other features, but I’ll give them all a try if need be. Thank you.

I hope they are addressing this battery issue. I was advised by an agent they are aware of the problemand they are fixing it I dont know if he is saying that to get me off the phone or if it is. As of right now, i did everything to conserve the battery with no success. I should have stayed with my 14promax!

Same, I pre-ordered my phone on the date it was release. I’ve been having problem with the battery life. I want to save battery life so i charge my phone to 80% everyday and I’m at school for about 4 hours each day, while at classes i don't really use to phone maybe to review for 45 min the battery will drain to about 60%, while on the way back home I normally like listening to music and the ride its about an hour the battery will get to 40% before I really home and when i’m home Ill use my IPad to conserve battery but my the end of the day my battery will be at 19% with about 4 hours on screen time. (Keep in mind 90% of that time the screen is off).

I did that, and returned the phone. I’m going to wait until they resolve the issue and then buy one, hopefully by January. Luckily kept my iPhone 12 instead of trading it in, so im keeping this until I know for sure it’s fixed! Rare to see apple screw up like this, but hopefully they handle it with grace and fix the issues!

Same here. Had my iPhone 15 Pro Max for less than a week. The battery goes from 100% to less than 20% just over half a day with barely any use. Not to mention, it gets pretty warm. I should have never gotten rid of my iPhone 14 Pro Max. That battery lasted over a day even with some CarPlay use.

I got the new iPhone 15 Pro recently, and I'm not happy because the battery runs out super quick, like 10% in an hour. My old XR never had this problem. Plus, the Pro gets really hot when I use it, even for just music. Any tips to make it better? I only use my phone for 3-4 WhatsApp calls and music.

Did the same, nothing changed. Unfortunately we don’t have official Apple Store here in my country, only authorized resellers. They’re not really “geniuses” if you know what I mean. But I’ll give them a try. Thanks anyway.

Wow they have removed my posts regarding this issue saying that “We’ve removed your post iPhone 15 Pro Battery Drain Issue because it contained either feedback or a feature request that was not constructive.”

iOS 17.1 has been released now. Nothing mentioned in the release notes about improved battery performance or similar. Anyone here with first impressions if iOS 17.1 changed anything in the 15 Pro’s battery life compared to 17.0.3?

Same here sadly. Upgrade from an iPhone 12 many to get more battery time. But my 1w old iPhone 15 pro has less battery life the my 2y old iPhone 12.sucks to have a new phone that need charging 3x per day

i have been running 17.1 at time of writing and will upgrade to 17.2 beta tonight hoping for improvement

yeah, I’m totally frustrated with the battery life of the iPhone 15 Pro too! I had the iPhone 11 for three years and I never had battery life issues like this, I am constantly having a phone on the charger and everything. the phone also seems buggy and the lock screen feature doesn’t probably work, the UI functions weird at times, and multitude of other issues. I am very disappointed in this product and wish I probably kept my iPhone 11.

I took my phone in to Genius and he basically told me there was nothing wrong with my phone. New phones just take more battery to process. Very upset when I left. I have Apple Care and only have had mine for less than 2 months. Phone battery still runs out before end of day. This is sad.

I have to agree with the general consensus on the iPhone 15 Pro - the claim was that the battery capacity is EVEN better than that of iPhone 13 Pro - not so fast on that claim, please!

The battery is suppose to withstand normal use of a 24 h day and is NOT. If the recommendation is to shut most/all the features that makes its purchase worthwhile, then mind as well stick with the basic flip phone, right? It's like buying a Ferrari and driving it at a scooter's pace.

I’ve had the same issue. I got my gf the new 15 pro because her battery was terrible on her previous Iphone 11, but the 15 pro is staggeringly worse! The 15 pro was advertised as having “all day battery life” but she is having to charge her phone 3 times a day! After calling Apple we were told to update to new IOS and this hasn’t helped either. What is the solution to this?
