iPhone 15 Pro Battery Drain Issue

I have bought iPhone 15 pro recently. The expectation is battery should be efficient, but is performing poor than iPhone 11. Especially Findmy app is used all night. The battery went down from 55% to 32%. Please help me to fix this?

Hey guys! Got my iPhone 15 Pro also 3 days ago and very upset with the battery capacity.

fullu charged at 7am when I wake up and not using a lot the phone. Some WhatsApp’s for working , around 4-5 calls 1 -4’ a rasgue duration. Even closing apps to try extend the charge and it’s now 2:22pm and I have 28% charge only? Come on this is a premium smartphone. Something is not working and apple should refix this issue.

Any other place where we can claim to apple for a solution, 1300€ phone and the battery does not survive at least 1 day in a normal use?

Hi there, I calculated yesterday how much battery is drained during a 45min screen recording.

The only usage was internet navigation and WhatsApp communication. (And obviously the screen recording…)

But here is the thing: Apple says the 15 Pro lasts 23h of videos.

Here are my results:

1% every 3.60min

24h*60min=1440

1440minutes

1440/3.6=400min

400/60=6.7h

This is more than 17h less announced by Apple. Note that my battery health is at “100%”.

Im super annoyed. I hope they can tell me what’s going on at the Genius Bar. I have the 45min screen recording on my phone so I hopefully won’t lose time trying to prove them how bad it is. This is outrageous. 1800€ for this iPhone. And the battery doesn’t even last 7 hours??

There has been like 6 iOS updates since this battery drain issue started and it is just getting worse with every update. I own an iPhone 15 Pro and i am very sure I will not buy iPhone anymore. It was a good phone in the past couple of years but the quality of battery or their iOS (whichever is the case) is getting worse year after year. I am looking forward to an alternative phone brand when time comes.

My 13Pro battery is much better than the new 15 Pro running with same apps. 13 Pro is set to auto update and can’t do that on the 15 Pro - need to manually update in evenings eith full charge. I make sure no apps are running in the background either. Ran out of battery from full charge waiting 1 hour for a tire change at dealership. This is so disappointing…luckily had the 13 Pro with me and could conmect to WiFi

15 Pro also overheats with Apple Magsafe charger. Apple ran a diagnostic on phone call with the 15Pro and said nothing amiss. I want to return the phone - it’s a total pain….took 5 days after purchase to reach a full charge even with Apple support who blamed it on phone’s AI getting used to how I use the phone

Ditch that AI if this is the crap service it affords to supposedly save battery life

My battery was fine for me too after a few resets. But then it went back to draining mode. I hope it lasts for you and I hope it comes back to me too. I am planning to:

  • wait for 17.2
  • do a few more tests (1st move back to the old phone, and then take the 15Pro through some reset scenarios, including creating a brand new apple account from 0)
  • if everything fails, I will take it to warranty.

Btw, here is a pic of my overnight consumption. Background app refresh was disabled. One night I have disabled FindMy and the graph looked identical, with ZERO apps listed to consume battery, but still 20-25% drain.

You cannot see in the pic, but for every 1 hour interval starting at midnight until 7AM, the only battery user listed is FindMy, at 100%. I doubt that. Next I will do identical test with FindMy also deactivated, Background App refresh deactivated, and I will reboot the phone just before sleep.

Below there's a pic with my older iPhone 14.

I have transferred all apps/data/settings from my 15Pro (battery usage in previous posts) and I have made sure I have enabled:

  • FindMy
  • Location Services
  • Cellular and WiFi
  • Background app refresh

Only Siri was not on.

Also, did not close any apps before going to sleep. This phone used 0% battery overnight, even though during 1AM-6AM, "FindMy" is the only active app listed with 100%. But it's 100% of nothing.

Hello guys! I have had the same problem and with my iPhone 12, I would still have like 30-40 % charge in the evening. With the iPhone 15, I would need to charge it again at around 7 p.m., which is quite weird. Now I have read that this could be due to iOS 17 with a lot of apps not being able to "cope" with it. They suggested a forced restart, and I have to say, that this helped a bit and my battery is not discharging at the rate it used to.

Here is the link on how to do it:

Force restart iPhone – Apple Support (UK)

Hope it helps!

So I had the iPhone 15 Pro now for 24h and have been affected by quite abnormal Battery drainage.

This is what I have so far....

  1. Update IOS to the newest Version
  2. In case you don't have a 5G Plan and your Phone is running 4G, set it in the Mobile Network options to 4G or Update your Plan to 5G

I have the impression that when you are on 4G but the Setting is on 5G the Phone is constantly trying to Switch to 5G, leading to abnormal consumption.

Since I did this, I am now on 100% since 4 hours which is definitely different than before.

Hope that helps....

I'm pretty happy with my battery life on my iPhone 15 pro unlike the iPhone 14 pro max which was really disastrous. I'm going to share some YouTube links that will help you save your battery life 😀

I bought iPhone 15 Pro on September 2023 and ever since I have noted that.

  1. My Battery Drains Faster.
  2. battery cycle count 90
  3. Battery Health showing 96%

Please note that I have only used the iPhone for less than Three months (3 Months Only Usage).

please assist with this matter, because I believe I have been a user of your products for the past Decade and Half.

I tried to delete my original message, to no avail.

What seems to have worked for me:

  • I backed up my iPhone 15 Pro yesterday, then reset it.
  • Turned off "always on."
  • I've been closing apps when I'm finished with them.
  • Turned off auto update for apps.

I charged my phone to 100% last night. It's now 6:45 pm, and my phone is still at 69%. Fingers crossed that this solved my issue. Hopefully, it will work for someone else.
