iPhone 15 Pro Battery Drain Issue

Bought my iPhone 15 pro last night and am absolutely appalled at how fast the battery is draining. Thoroughly disappointed in my purchase. I want my iPhone 13 Pro back. IT WAS JUST FINE.

I got my iphone 15 pro since launch. Battery after 1,5-2h SOT got 20% left. I took it to service and they replaced battery, motherboard and camera. After repair i still have this issue. Whats more interesting now its showing me on battery usage graph thats my inactive screen time is like 21-22h per day… what is wrong with this phone…

Same issue…I’m within my 14 days for Verizon so I’ll return but so disappointed with the phone. It’s terrible.

I traded in my iPhone 12 for a 15 pro. The battery life of the new phone is awful. What's the fix, Apple. This is NOT good for your reputation.

I too am having the battery drain way too quickly. Phone is not a month old and won’t last the day. Hope we can resolve this!

had my phone for about a month so far. when i first got it, everything was fine but after i updated my phone, my battery started draining horribly on iphone 15 pro max

@tomas, it is not the same for all. Most people posting here have already turned off the AOD without any results.

Same for me. Only way to get a lasting battery is to turn ON the Airplane mode.

Nope! iOS version 17.3.1 still has the same issue.

Whatever it is, memory leak, vulnerability or anything, I hope the SW will not regress with future changes.

And I wonder what made it specific to the 15Pro/ProMax and also not to all phones.

Just for exemplification, the first picture is how my battery depleted during the day:

In the 2nd picture, you can see the the day of the 17.4 update, performed around 9AM. Then see how the battery evolves over the course of the day.

Supposedly the latest update is the cause of this since iPhone 11 and on have the same issue. It is not a of background running or anything else issue as many many people have followed instructions to lower battery consumption and still all over blogs and forums the same is happening. If you look up the question on internet IOS 17.4 is the cause of all this, hope they fix this fast because Android is looking mighty fine right now 😒

New 15 pro max. Exactly same issue battery lasting only 7-8 hours. This needs to be rectified asap as judging by the thousands of comments this is a manufacturing defect.

I’m having serious battery drainage issues too. I’m super disappointed with this phone. Apple is apparently having sales issues, and this is not the way to do it.

Whats worse, is my speakers have a metallic buzzing sound that should not be there. This is a big problem for me.

I’m having the same issue and it’s ridiculous. I remember when I got the iPhone 13 the day it came out, my battery lasted 2 whole days before I had to charge it. Only took about 30 minutes to fully charge. I traded it in with 84% battery capacity, but it was still working great. Now with the iPhone 15 Pro, the battery life doesn’t last half a day and it takes about an hour to charge.

also having this same problem, been using the phone for two days, have gone through today and disabled always on screen, disabled background refresh etc. which I’m hoping will help. I’ve been getting battery life comparable to my iPhone 12 with 65% battery health, I just want my phone to last the day, is there any word about Apple updating their software or is this a hardware issue, will a new iPhone 14 be better for battery life? I feel like I’ve never had this problem with a brand new iPhone before.
