i face apple watch ultra 2 strange screen flickering issue. I have timer complication on modular ultra screen. When I run a timer in the background, the screen flickers. When the timer is stopped, flickering stops.

Yes exactly. I’ve also noticed when the modular ultra watch face is switching from “night mode” the red face and being raised to wake it causes the screen to be glitchy the red mode will also blink with a timer on and running for me. Also the screen seems to be glitchy when transitioning from night mode to day mode and the other way also. And has the little bluish random bursts on the screen. I’ve since removed the timer complication and turned the night mode off and so far the watch doesn’t seem to be having any issues after that.
you will probably find that it has not really deleted the timer even if it appears to. If you open the timer application again after the restart in my experience it is still there and hasn’t paused and even knows about the elapsed time due to the restart. That’s one thing that’s been very solid with Apple Watch timers
I am a teacher and use my timers all day (one of the reasons I own an Apple watch) I had a 2018 SE before this that had none of these issues. I am very frustrated and disappointed with my almost 1000 dollar Ultra 2 shutting down and restarting for simply using the timer. I haven't checked if the issue exists without using the modular face because it shouldn't exist at all.
Also, the disappearing seconds is another glitch that is annoying and should be easily fixed by Apple.
PLEASE FIX THESE BUGS ASAP!!!!
I am getting the flickering as well. I raise the watch to look at it and then it flickers. Mine is also not getting really bright in the dark. I have the brightness set all the way up. Luckily I bought mine at Target and have time to return it. I hope Apple fixes it soon. I will be waiting a couple more months to buy it again just in case.
Mine does the same thing with the screen dim. I go to the gym and listen to Pandora and the screen flickers. I've unpaired and paired the watch. Power cycled. I'm updated to the latest software. Nothing works.
I'm returning the watch until Apple gets everything sorted out. If it's a hardware design problem I don't want to get stuck with a defective watch. I remember antenna gate with the iPhone 4. They wouldn't give out new phones, they would just give out cases lol. I'll go back to my Apple watch 5 for now.
Mine is still not showing the weather and flickering occasionally. Nothing to do with timers for me. But I am past my 14 days. At least I know if it is hardware issue Apple always makes it right. Might have to jump through more hoops is all.
What a joke. No the issue most certainly is not resolved haha. The guy I had was very genuine and helpful. He definitely cared and wanted to get an answer for the issue.
I am having the same issue, but my flickering wont stop. I have had my watch for only 4-5 days now and it started out of no where. I have an appointment this weekend.
I called Apple support and they recommended restarting and unpairing and repairing. Unfortunately neither approach worked. Screen still flickers when dim.
They had me do the same thing it didn’t fix anything.
Couldn’t make it happen all day and then in the evening it was easy to reproduce again. Very odd. May well be something related to light level / time of day
Mine is still consistent regardless the time. But after removing the complication the only issue I’m currently having is the bluish color bursts.

I’m a hairdresser so use timers all day. Now I’m looking it does appear to be only when I have a timer running in the background.
