i face apple watch ultra 2 strange screen flickering issue. I have timer complication on modular ultra screen. When I run a timer in the background, the screen flickers. When the timer is stopped, flickering stops.

Yes exactly. I’ve also noticed when the modular ultra watch face is switching from “night mode” the red face and being raised to wake it causes the screen to be glitchy the red mode will also blink with a timer on and running for me. Also the screen seems to be glitchy when transitioning from night mode to day mode and the other way also. And has the little bluish random bursts on the screen. I’ve since removed the timer complication and turned the night mode off and so far the watch doesn’t seem to be having any issues after that.
My AWU2 has started doing the same screen flicker, only noticed while on ultra modular watch face and always on computations only. Nothing running ie timers as some people say and when screen is always on, happens when you wake screen momentarily.
I presume this is a software issue and Apple will fix eventually.
Managed to get a video and freeze frame of issue, can be any of the computations.
Please fix as I’ve come from a Garmin that had zero issues
I have a screen flickering issue too on the ultra 2.
It appears that when the screen dims into always-on mode, the screen will flicker brightly intermittently.
I am afraid it's a hardwear problem.Mine does the same thing but not only in the new face but all the faces that have complications corners.I think it's a display problem but hopefully not
That does not work. Trust me I have tried. Even the Apple Store could not get it to work. I have to continuously turn off and turn back on my watch for it to work for maybe the day.
This is happening with my S9 when a timer complication is running. I filed feedback FB13249550 on Oct 8 about it.

My Apple Watch ultra 2 is doing the same exact thing. I’ve also noticed the timer complication does not show on the watch face when looking at the watch face in the iPhone app. It’s blank on the Apple Watch face picture but shows it’s selected at the bottom. My brothers Apple Watch ultra 2 is also doing the same blinking and restarting randomly.
It’s so crazy how identical your issue and mine are. That gives me some hope that it’s a software bug that can be resolved. I really don’t want to have to go through the process of returning and possibly getting a remain unit or some used return.
I believe I am also having the same issue when the screen is going in and out of sleep mode some of the complications in my best way of explaining it flash like a bluish white light in random parts that are like small circles that happen for a split second randomly.
Mine too. Same as what others have said. I actually went to the Apple Store tonight and returned the original Ultra 2 I preordered and got another one because of this issue. Within an hour of setting up the new watch the complications have been flickering when raising to wake. Apple please fix! For crying out loud, this is your high end watch.
I just got the apple watch ultra 2 and I am not having the issues of flickering. I got my wife a new series 9 41mm (she likes the smaller watch) the flickering issues is still there. She uses her timer app on her watch alot for medications (eye drops) she uses. So I assume the issus might be due to the timer app. Is that what you guys are seeing.
Same for me. Flickering when the timer is running. And no, rebooting the watch, unpairing and re-pairing, and all the other usual tech support platitudes don’t fix the issue.
I’ve also had my watch randomly reboot itself while just sitting on my wrist. I am also experiencing strange display glitches where various complications intermittently, randomly flash strange colors for a split second.

I’m hoping this is all just a software issue that can be fixed with a couple updates. It’s extremely frustrating to spend almost $1000 on a watch (watch + AppleCare + tax), and have these kinds of issues. They’re not deal-breaking, but they’re certainly annoying.
Apple makes great hardware, but it seems that more and more they are forcing out software iterations before they’re truly ready in order to meet the now-expected yearly deadline.
Yes I’m really hoping this can be fixed with an update. I’m some what relieved that other people are having these issues as hopefully that is indicative that it is indeed a software issue and not something physically wrong with my watch. It’s been a big let down so far. I mailed off my series 7 that never had a problem other than the dwindling battery life towards the end. And now I’m here stuck with this expensive watch that is having multiple issues. So far I haven’t heard of anyone else having the strange hard to explain strange flashes of light on the complications when raising to wake the watch. So hopefully that can also be fixed with a software update also.
