Apple tv app search dictation not showing up

I realised the issue… They changed the command to no longer hold the mic button but toggle, so u just need to click it to on and off but didn’t inform the devs to update so all the API above still says “Hold”. This is really bad UX i didn’t expect from Apple…. also bugged me and my family for weeks. Zzzz

For me the issue was that Apple TV somehow changed language of keyboard to my native language. I had to click on the “globe” which you can find on the left side of the keyboard and that switched language back to English which also enabled dictation again.

I tried the region fix, but no success. I can’t use any app search functionality. When I go to settings, general, use with ask Siri, I do not see any apps that can be used with Siri.

I’m having the same issue on 17.2 21K5341f and it’s super annoying to not be able to use mic search. Region hack didn’t fix it for me.

Beside the fact that it works, I have to say what a bonehead idea. Why not inform it?
