Steps data from iPhone while Apple Watch is charging?

Hi, First time posting here. I was wondering did anyone know if it’s possible to get the steps and activity data that was recorded automatically with your phone in your pocket while the watch was charging. I tend to leave my watch at my desk to charge and i could easily clock up 2-3,000 steps while I’m away from my desk and i can;t see to get that data into the Watch and translate it into the Fitness part.

Any ideas or perhaps I’m not turning a setting on or something…

Thanks,

BD

Hi BDIRELAND,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. We understand you have some questions about Activity. While the steps you've taken without your watch on won't show on your Apple Watch, you should still be able to view all your activity for the day in the Fitness app on your iPhone. See how here: See your activity summary in Fitness on iPhone - Apple Support

Thanks.
