Hey there,

For iPhone models with Home Button, you have to swipe up from the bottom of the screen to access Control Center. You'll see an option for focus there.

You're unable to turn off Focus from Settings because of Focus Schedule. To turn it off, follow these steps:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Open Focus
  3. Click on the Focus that you want to turn off.
  4. Scroll down to SCHEDULE
  5. Click on "Next Schedule"
  6. Toggle off "Schedule". Now your focus is turned off.

I believe Apple should make a note of this and shift the toggle to the focus menu in Settings and also add the option to turn off Focus (which doesn't have a Schedule) from Settings. That option used to be there earlier but I don't see it anymore.

Btw, you can also ask Siri to turn off Focus.

And for the time being, until Apple resolves this issue, if you want to turn off a Focus (without schedule) from Settings, you'll have to create a Schedule for that Focus and toggle it off from there (follow the steps above).

Hey there DNDhelp23,

You can find guidance on how to set up and utilize the Focus feature, including Do Not Disturb, by reviewing the how-to Apple Support resource Use Focus on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support.

Make sure you check all devices you use with the same Apple ID, as the Focus features can sync across devices. This means if you have it enabled on an iPad or Mac with the same Apple ID as your phone, your phone can also have the Focus applied to it.

Don't hesitate to respond back if you need any more help.
