Brand new phone. Updated software for migration from older phone. Transfer was good.
However, badges aren't working for iMessage, messenger, instagram, X, Amazon etc. Mixture of iOS apps and third party.
Have turned on and off multiple times. Toggled the settings many times. Checked focus settings etc.
Nothing has fixed the problem. There isn't an iOS update to download.
Not sure where to turn.

I checked all of the potential issues and there are no Focus or Do Not Disturb settings set to affect notifications. It is very random. Sometimes A badge will show. Other times it won't. Also noticing my email badge states 9 unread emails even when there is only 1 or fewer than 9 at any time.
I have tried various notification settings, turning badges on and off in every app I need them but there is simply no rhyme or reason as to why they don't work.
I just got my new phone and am having these same issues. Badges not showing. Mail will not fetch or push unless I open app. But badges definitely not working on most other apps.
Please help me. I’ve even checked with technician that sold me the iPhone 15 pro max. My badges are not working no matter what notification I turn on.
