iPhone 15 "Data Transfer Cancelled" Error Message

Me too my iPhone 15 pro is 17.0.2 and i keep getting canceled

I've got the same issue. Not having found out how to break the automatic set up to get version 17 downloaded, i did two things, and (touch wood) it seems to work: 1) I downloaded version 17 on the old phone (not sure it actually started before the data transfer started) and 2) I didn't put the passcodes in to tranfer the cards in my wallet. I'm going to guess the issue is in adding the cards as it didn't give me a chance to add the activation codes in when I did it the first times when it kept crashing...

Overall, have to say its a TERRIBLE customer experience. The whole data transfer phones side by side was a game changer, but this is beyond annoying. Phone currently telling me there's 4 hours of data transfer to go through... so I may not have cracked it yet... will KYP...

I got new iphone 15 pro max and since yesterday evening, I have been trying to set it up. Each time it fails during data transfer and I have to reset the phone and start again.

Both phone (old - 13 Pro max and new) are up to date on 17X version. Also, data transfer rate is very slow even when both phones are side by side and connected to power.

My last try is in progress and if it fails, I am going to return this phone and done with Iphone 15 series.

This was the worst transfer experience I have had yet with an iPhone. Going from an iPhone 12 pro max to a 15 was supposed to be simple and easy, but it was everything but that.

I would have loved some advice beforehand if I had known it was going to take up my entire afternoon...

Still working on the transfer as of right now. This is like my 3rd attempt LOL

Tried 10 times or more from iPhone 12 Pro to 15 Pro and always get this same message.

I have storage space available and the new phone has the same storage space 256gb as the old..

I will have to take this to Apple so soooo angry and the time I've lost on this, my only consolation is seeing so many others here with the same problem.

i’m stuck in this - tried all different ways in - the data transfer is cancelled phone to phone, going via iCloud i just get this perpetually cycling - really annoyed about the time hit on this, never had a problem before.

I’ve had no luck with data transfer using QuickStart on several iPhones and iPads. QuickStart recognizes and works fine during setup and recognizes old devices but when it comes time to do the data transfer all of the sudden it doesn’t find any old devices and unable to transfer. Bluetooth on and Wi-Fi on both devices setting side by side. Very frustrating and a very flawed data transfer process.

Same here. The Quick Start suggestion failed because it didn't start automatically after connecting the 2 phones and the instructions didn't include a way to launch it manually.

Why can’t apple correct the heating problem on iPhone 15 plus transfers of data problem

Just not good enough.

Tried two times to transfer data from iPhone 13 to 15 Pro and receiving exact same message. It is so annoying. We need Steve Jobs back from the grave to bring the dignity of iPhone again.

i have the same issue I tried all the suggestions below and still get the error message it’s very annoying what can I do to fix this ?
