I got an apple iTunes card and it is saying it is not a valid number

I bought a $50 iTunes card today at Meijer in McHenry IL. I got home to redeem and it says it is not valid? I can send pictures and my receipt.

You didn't. The people who answer questions on these boards are mostly other customers and don't have inside access to Apple's servers.
