Go to System Settings>Lock Screen>Show Large Clock and select "Never"
When I'm not using my MBA, the lid is closed so, I rarely see it. But, I do like it.
Personally, the only time I ever see the lock screen on any of my Macs is when I respond to questions like this. 🙂
just remove it as they said earlier
really easy, man!

Yeah, pretty much.
It's really hard to believe this can't be done with the versatility on iOS.
Yes - Im also looking for a solution to change it. Its ugly to look at.
Haven't tried but one possible solution could be to turn if off and place a widget instead?
But no widgets go on lock screen, need concept though!
Just updated and faced with the same ugly and badly laid out lock screen.
And not allow it to be changed?
Tiny login, massive ugly clock.
it's basically the same thing on iOS, just on macOS
You are looking at it wrong!
I just turned it off. Ugly font goe. I can still see the time of day in the upper right-hand corner.
You can change the font on iOS.
