App Store only asks for password instead of Touch ID

I recently changed the email for my Apple ID and ever since then App Store has been asking ONLY for my password. I have Touch ID on for iTunes and App Store too.

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! On your device, you'll want to ensure you are following the steps below that can help:


Require a password for App Store and iTunes purchases


1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap your name.
3. Tap Media & Purchases.
4. Tap Password Settings, then choose the setting that you want.

If you don't see Password Settings, you have turned on Face ID or Touch ID for App Store and iTunes Purchases. If not, to change this, go back to Settings, tap "Face ID & Passcode" or "Touch ID & Passcode", then turn on Face ID or Touch ID next to iTunes & App Store.
