Greetings rcbookie,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities, it's great to have you here.

You can learn more about this feature right here: Unlock your iPhone with Apple Watch when you're wearing a face mask or sunglasses - Apple Support. There may not be a way to prevent that notification from appearing, since it is designed to inform you of the watch being unlocked so you're aware of any security concerns that come with an unlocked device. You may consider turning off this feature, however that would just come down to your personal preference.

Thank you for being a part of the community here. We hope this information helps!

Best wishes.

Hi rcbookie,

There isn't a way to turn off the notification, but if you'd like to turn off the option to unlock your Apple Watch with your iPhone, use the article we provided previously.

You can also leave feedback at the product website here about the notification here: Feedback - Watch - Apple

This is the best way to explain in your own words how this influences the way you use your Apple Watch.

Take care.
