How to activate Apple Watch notifications for my iPhone

iPhone and Apple Watch Notifications So when I wear my Apple Watch, I don't get notifications on my phone, unless I turn off notifications on my watch. So I have to give up one or the other. I've been trying to figure out why I don't wear my Apple Watch very often and this pretty much sums up the reason. I need notifications on both or it simply is a show stopper.

Notifications only going to my Apple Watch and not to my iPhone Has anyone had an issue with notifications only going to the Watch and not their phone?notifications will only announce on my phone when I’m actively on my phone or when I’m not wearing my watch and it’s locked. Otherwise notifications only go to my watch and not my phone, they deliver silently. I spent hours at Apple and apparently this is some sort of bug, but they haven’t had anybody with this circumstance come in yet. this happened after the newest update a couple weeks ago. Set up and use Notify When Left Behind in the Find My app - Apple Support

You do this in the iPhone in "Find My"
