my new iPhone 15 pro is constantly disconnecting on apple carplay. Tried multiple usb c leads and holders and still happens. Didn’t happen with iPhone 14 pro lightning, android auto usb c. And my wife’s iPhone 15 doesn’t disconnect. Is this an isolated iPhone 15 pro issue that needs to be replaced or is this a serious iPhone 15 pro fault?
I did some more googling and found that other users that had the same issue fixed it by getting new cables and making sure that they were “data transfer” cables and not just “charging” cables. I didn’t realize there was a difference. I’ve ordered a new cable, usb to usb-c data transfer so we’ll see if that fixes it. I’ll keep you posted.

@critona If you are so sure Put me the link of the cable you are using and the link of the usb to usb to usb c adaptor so that I buy them!
Nope fully charged. Was working on navigator wireless no longer working on the 2022 navigator.
@critona I recommend for everyone purchased the recommended cable the defect always does the problem is software

I’ve used the same high data cable and mine still shuts off and on constantly
Didn’t work for me using high speed data cable… as well as several other cables
Didnt help mine.. still connects and unconnected … I bought two and both are doing the same
I have a Pioneer aftermarket stereo and the Appleplay (used to be the BEST). Now, shuts off. Bluetooth through wifi, but that is NOT CarPlay. no maps, no apps - ugh - please fix !!

My girlfriend has a 2020 Kia Sportage and we recently upgraded our phones to the iPhone 15 plus. Her car utilizes USB-A so we purchased a USB-A to C cable which dropped constantly. I purchased the Apple Lightning to USB C connector and it does the same thing on 17.3. This is ridiculous as it worked fine on her iPhone 14 Plus.
