White noise in transparency mode/adaptive mode

When I switch on transparency mode or adaptive mode in silent room I hear white noise, it’s like rustling leaves from the wind. I wanna ask is this okay? Or headphones are broken?

p.s model is AirPods Pro 2

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities Max09k09,

Based on what you've described we'd like to suggest first adjusting the ambient noise you hear while in Transparency mode. Reducing ambient noise may help with the white noise you hear. See the steps to do this below, taken from Customize Transparency mode for AirPods Pro (all generations) - Apple Support:

When your AirPods Pro are connected to an iPhone or iPad, you can reduce the amount of ambient noise you hear in Transparency mode.

1. Wear your AirPods, and make sure they’re connected to your device.
2. On your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings  > Accessibility > Audio/Visual > Headphone Accommodations, and make sure Headphone Accommodations is turned on.
3. Tap Transparency Mode, turn on Custom Transparency Mode, then turn on Ambient Noise Reduction.
4. Drag the slider to adjust how much ambient noise to block in Transparency mode.

Don't hesitate to respond back if that does not resolve the issue.

Best!
