Can’t connect to internet in MacOS, but can use safari in recovery app perfectly
I have two installations of macOS, one on the internal hard drive, and one on an external SSD. Seemingly out of the blue after downloading the update from macOS Sonoma for the internal storage Drive. I am no longer able to connect to any Internet services on either installation but I am able to Connect to the Internet if I use the Safari browser within the start up options or recovery mode. This makes me think that there is some sort of setting that was messed up when trying to do the macOS Sonoma update, but when I try to do a time machine, restore to last weekend, the problem persisted.
For both MacOS instillations, I’ve ran the wireless diagnostics, but it said that everything was fine. I also try to forget and rejoin the Wi-Fi net work that I use this net work I have verified works on my other Apple devices like the Apple TV and iPhone. I also disconnected Wi-Fi and tried on ethernet and that also didn’t And a system restore for the external volume running macOS that I’ve been using for the past several months restore to this prior weekend and the issues still persists
I don’t know if it can be a hardware issue of the internet seems to work fine in the recovery app. Apple support wasn’t helpful so now I turn to you.
Also, I clicked update now for something Apple pushed through and it downloaded full speed with no issue. But still can’t use internet. Please help. Can’t tell if hardware or
software issue
