I am using the MacBook Pro m1 13 inch..... there is a serious battery draining issue after the Sonoma update.... it went from 100 percent to 25 percent in around 3 hr 30 mins of time....
is anyone having the same issue?

I was thinking about battery life after Sonoma update again yesterday, and realized the battery drain started when I added widgets to my home screen. I removed all widgets last night, charged the MBA M2 to 100%, and already noticing this morning that the battery life seems to be back to normal. Been sitting here working since 7am, and battery life is only down 2% to 98%. I was in the 65% range by this time yesterday.
Maybe the widgets are constantly looking for updated data?? Maybe a "only refresh every X hours" option would help??
So I brought it into the Apple store. They did a wipe and reinstall. Still having problems. Check out this strange battery behavior. Apparently woke itself up at 3 AM, but then the battery is showing fully charged, even though the actual battery has completely drained. I turned off "Wake for network access" too. Is there an Apple support we can spam?
Totally unacceptable for my battery to die after 4-5 hours in stand by, with closed lid and Wi-Fi off. Should have read this thread before the installation of the f.....g Sonoma . With the Big Sur stand by was lasting 5-6 days. Whatever BS they say about how much more powerful and demanding Sonoma is this is totally unacceptable.
MBP is 15" i9 32ram 1Ttb HD.

So I reset the the SMC every day or so, and it works fine. Warning signs that it is starting to go are, fan running and not awaking from sleep when I open the lid. Then the battery just drains in a couple of hours.
SO I just continue to reset and reset and reset.

I reset SMC each day and that worked fine until this morning. I have reset it about ten times (following the Sonoma Update) and it no longer works. I close the MacBook and it does not turn on when opened, loud fan noise back.
Was that a PART OF THE UPDATE? To eliminate the SMC reset fix?
Anyone else still struggling with this?

Just updated my 2019 15"MBPro. Sonoma 14.2. Battery dead in just a few hours. Ran several days of moderate use with Ventura. Wish I hadn't updated!
This is 100% my issue too. Battery was fine before the updating to Sonoma. Now I have a battery service warning and it only lasts a couple of hours. I guess Apple want me to buy a new computer?
After the Sonoma update my macbook pro 16" is hardy able to run 3 hrs. Requesting @apple engineers to work on this

I have the same issue, Macbook Pro 13'' 2018. It's unbelievable that Apple does this to customers in almost every single update considering how pricey this thing is.
Same here. Turned off wifi, bluetooth, quit chrome and Whatsapp, and battery completely drained. Left clamshell closed and unplugged overnight to test it.
Is there some Apple customer service mailbox we can flood?
Same here! (or worse) I also have to press the power button to have it come back from shutting the lid.
There was an update this morning, so it gave me hope... After installing the update, I closed the clamshell, put it in my backpack, and 5 hours later battery is dead and the laptop is hot. Sigh.
Having the same problem, only now realising it was related to the Sonoma update. Apple needs to fix this ASAP !!! Doesn't make any sense at all!!!
