I am using the MacBook Pro m1 13 inch..... there is a serious battery draining issue after the Sonoma update.... it went from 100 percent to 25 percent in around 3 hr 30 mins of time....
is anyone having the same issue?

I was thinking about battery life after Sonoma update again yesterday, and realized the battery drain started when I added widgets to my home screen. I removed all widgets last night, charged the MBA M2 to 100%, and already noticing this morning that the battery life seems to be back to normal. Been sitting here working since 7am, and battery life is only down 2% to 98%. I was in the 65% range by this time yesterday.
Maybe the widgets are constantly looking for updated data?? Maybe a "only refresh every X hours" option would help??

It is back to fast draining etc... the SMC only worked to fix for about 24 hours.
OMG the same here. It lasted about 24h as well. Cant believe all of this is happening. I have the impression that Apple works against me

Resetting SMC does not work anymore after doning the Sonoma update this morning.

I just downloaded Sonoma to my MacBook Pro 2 days ago and my computer is now constantly dead even after charging! I have to keep it plugged in. Any harm in returning to Ventura OS?
My MacBook m1 2020 just made that update and after it was finished my MacBook would no longer charge until it finally died and now I can’t use it anymore, even the Apple Store in my town didn’t know what to do except offering me to repair it for 850€.
Has anyone heard anything from Apple on this??
Or is it just another rotten example of "we will break your old one so that you will buy a new one"? Just like any power cord Apple ever made. S. Jobs... you never dreamt this... Side note: I have a 2013 MacBook Pro 13' that I watch YouTube on, it has been sleeping for over 2 weeks, it just awoke. This machine with Sonoma POS closed goes flat in just over 2 hours.
Is the battery issues is resolved with any new Sonoma update? Or still persists? I have MBP M2 14 running on Ventura right now. I was going to upgrade but this blog.
