On my old keyboard I use control+ command + eject for an immediate restart.
On my M1; when I do control+ command +TouchID button it simply logs me out to the lock screen.
What's the Restart shortcut with the TouchID keyboard?

Press and hold down the Touch ID button until it reboots (six seconds) and force a shut down/reboot (brute turn off/reset). Note that you'll lose any unsaved work if you do this.
hmm; tried that; and it just puts my mac to sleep.
tried control command touch ID holding down for 6 seconds. Then tried just Touch ID for 6 sec. Just goes to sleep
