AirPrint is printing blank pages

Hey, today a staff came and she said she was able to air print after the 17.** update, workaround was she used Books app, but I think she meant Pages app, I saw it come out of the copier after she air printed from her iPad! Has anyone tried this yet? I tried PicCollage, but have a feeling it has to be an app from Apple......🤔

Same problem, it started printing blank pages instead of the photo, the exact day IOS 17 came out. The latest IOS 17.1 update from last week has not fixed it either. Apple needs to acknowledge and get on this ASAP, this is a very critical feature I have used for the past 5 years for my business.

Updated to iOS 17 this morning. Now print black pages instead of photos as well. It seems this issue is affecting a lot of people

Same here on my IPhone 11. I can still print from my iPad because I have not updated the iOS yet.. so it’s obviously something written in the new update?! It’s sad that apple can’t post a useful solution here instead of suggesting us to contact apple support. This only causes more time for all of us.

iPads still using the 16. iOS will print from espon, and brother printer, whe. We try an iPad with 17. iOS it receives the data to print, but blank pages. But it will copy, and the older iOS will work and print via AirPrint. So it’s not a clogged ink head. We don’t know if this is a direct issues with the new iOS 17. Update. But at this point it’s extremely frustrating, and hindering work. Does apple have any input on this?

Honestly our whole shop relies on this.

some iPads still have not been updated to iOS 17 and they are the only ones that work.

we don’t even want to do the new phone update in fear of it messing that up.

I did read somewhere else that is a thing all software companies are doing. Certain printers are going to be obsolete because of the ink cartridge they use. So software companies started to make them not compatible. Again, I’m am not saying this as true, I read this elsewhere.

I work in a school too! I didn’t know this was an issue when I started updating the iPads. Now I have about 150 kids who are updated and printing blanks and another hundred are not updated but will update probably any moment because I can’t defer the update anymore on jamf.

I am having the same issues with 17.3. I firstly thought that it was because of my canon MF series printer but then i realized it (after having read this post) it is related to iOS. I have seen that i am having this issues with the photos without checkmarks on the properties section. I guess it is because of the non completed sync with icloud.

And of course you have already tried to hard reset it?

Updated to IOS 17.1.2, listed as a security update, this morning, and still it hasn't fixed the Airprint problem. STILL printing blank pages.

Come on APPLE, fix this already!!!

FYI, My IPad still prints with software version 16.7.2?!!

same here. 4 i devices at home. all above 16 ios can't print photos
