Apple Watch face won’t swipe since update

Can’t swipe watch face since update. Fix was to press on screen and swipe to face desired but that doesn’t even work anymore. Turned off watch and done with iWatch for awhile till this silly update is dealt with. Feels good actually to go back to an old school watch.

Your Apple Watch was Working As Designed. The 1 second firm press to change mode and allow swiping is the new way in WatchOS 10. I have no idea why it might have stopped working, but a reboot fixes many glitches so it should still work when you power up again. Chances are that was a one time glitch.

Apple, may I suggest an everybody wins fix? Have the watch face swipe feature a toggle switch in the settings. Having to long press ruins any ease of function for me. I like to quickly scroll through my different faces to see everything I’d like to see. I can understand someone getting annoyed that the watch face changed accidentally, but personally the annoyance and hassle of long pressing, scrolling, and selecting is way more time consuming then simply swiping to get the face I want back. First world problem, I know. I just feel like it could be easily fixed by just giving us the choice.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion.

This updated change increases a commonly used function to three or four steps, especially when pressing the watch doesn’t recognize the press. It should be optional to allow the user to configure it back to the way it was.

Tell Apple.

My previous message referencing reports found across the internet related to this topic has been removed from this forum. Over and over and over again, Apple is making the customer experience as displeasing as possible.

Due to this action, I'll be selling my Apple Watch. Because I love this product so much and Apple repeatedly makes the experience of owning and using it seem like a punishment, I want nothing to do with this product segment.

I can't think of anything Apple has ever messed up so badly. They don't seem to have any clue how great and powerful and life changing this product has been.

The problem with saying "the masses spoke" is that no one is going to say anything if there's something that is working just fine and they like it, they are only going to comment if there is a complaint. So, I for one, agree COMPLETELY with GernBlanston99 - I have been very FRUSTRATED wondering what was wrong with my watch and why I could no longer swipe to change faces and sometimes even can't swipe to read my notifications!

The reason I stumbled upon this thread is because the change is an UNWELCOME and FRUSTRATING problem that I'm looking for the solution to make it work like it did before the update.

So, NO - THANK YOU, Apple. I did NOT want this.

Then I don't understand your post at all.

This would indicate, at least to me, you were complaining and you weren't aware Apple did address this.
