Any iPad that has suffered visible physical damage may also have unseen internal damage.

As illustrated, in addition to the chassis being bent, the screen is physically distorted - and may unexpectedly break. The iPad battery, unseen, will also be distorted. This damage may also lead to failure; Li-ion batteries can, if damaged, can internally short-circuit - and experience thermal runaway. This can lead to extreme heating, or even a fire.

In summary, you might be ill-advised to invest money in an obviously damaged iPad. Future repair of a physically damaged iPad, if needed, may not be possible.

Caveat Emptor.

As previously mentioned by LotusPilot , many things can happen . We never know what damaged until problems start showing or taking it a part.

On the other side, i had an iPad mini with a similar bent for years without any problems.

Test it, look if it’s heats up quickly. Ask before purchase, when this accident happened and there is any noticed problem since. If recently , heats up or experiencing any issues just look for another deal.
