Mysterious audio waveform icon

In one of my group message thread, this icon is being shown instead of the usual mic icon. What does this mean and how do I get rid of it (to revert it back to mic icon)?

Thanks for the reply.

I know it is the Audio app message icon (as seen in the Messages apps), but other group message threads do not show this - it only shows the mic icon.

I checked the group where this icon is showing and I do not see any audio message left (according to that document you sent, iOS automatically deletes it unless it is saved), nor did I save a message.
