I like using standby mode while my phone is on the desk. I have a magnetic stand/charger to keep it on, but the phone must be charging for standby mode to activate. Does it hurt the battery longevity to leave it on the charger all day if I have Charging Optimization set to 80% Limit?

No, it doesn't hurt it. And you're not using battery cycles which is good.

phone stops charging at 100 percent.
I'm not sure what you mean. The phone hasn't gone past 80% when the charging optimization limit is on, but the charging indicator light stays on, and it stays in standby mode.
