My 27 inch Mac iOS has a white screen and a blinking folder on screen with a question mark

The Mac was working one day, regular screen, and then when I turned it on again, it was the white screen blinking folder and that is the case now. Should I just replace it?

I used "erase this Mac" and I'm getting a flashing white folder icon with a black question mark on it. That's all I'm getting. I'm used "erase this Mac" on a 2012 15" MacBook Pro. Turning it in as trade in. Waited connected to power overnight and am getting a flashing white folder icon with a black question mark on it. Can't get out of that screen.
