Hi dhilip209,

I'm sorry to hear about the issues with your old MacBook Pro. If your Mac is completely dead and you can't access the keychain passwords or data through normal means, you can try the following steps to recover your keychain passwords and data:

1. Check iCloud Keychain:

If you had iCloud Keychain enabled on your old MacBook Pro, your keychain passwords might be synced to iCloud. You can access them on another Apple device that's signed in with the same Apple ID and has iCloud Keychain enabled.

2. Visit an Apple Store or Service Center:

If your MacBook Pro is still under warranty or if you have AppleCare, consider taking it to an Apple Store or an authorized service center. They may be able to diagnose the issue with your MacBook Pro and potentially recover your data and keychain passwords.

3. Data Recovery Services:

If your MacBook Pro is not under warranty or if the issue is not repairable, you can consider using professional data recovery services. These services specialize in recovering data from dead or damaged devices. They might be able to retrieve your data, including keychain passwords, from the MacBook Pro's storage.

4. Backup Recovery:

If you have a recent backup of your MacBook Pro, you can restore your data and keychain passwords from the backup to a new Mac or another Apple device. Time Machine backups or iCloud backups can be particularly useful in this regard.

5. Apple Support:

Contact Apple Support for assistance. They can guide you through potential solutions or provide recommendations based on your specific situation.

6. Third-Party Tools:

There are some third-party tools like iMobie PhoneRescue and Dr.Fone that claim to be able to recover data from dead or unresponsive Macs. Be cautious when using such tools and ensure they are reputable and safe to use.

Important Note: When attempting to recover data or access keychain passwords, always prioritize data security and privacy. Be cautious about sharing personal information, and make sure you're using legitimate and trusted services or software.

Recovering data from a completely dead MacBook Pro can be challenging, and the success of the recovery may depend on the specific circumstances and the condition of the hardware. It's always a good practice to regularly back up your data to prevent data loss in situations like this.

Hope this helps!
