Control Center was moved to the oval side button. Press and release.

What button do you push? I used that function all the time and can't find it

Push this button (see picture)

Use Control Center on Apple Watch - Apple Support

DO NOT hold the button, as that brings up the Emergency services display.

Just a quick press and release, and it will bring up the Control Center, with all that same services that you previously got with a swipe up.

If you are having timing issues with the speed of the press and release, then play with

Settings -> Accessibility -> Side Button Click Speed

Feel free to tell Apple the confusing they have caused by moving this UI to a different trigger.

The more users that send feedback, the more likely a decision maker will see it. After all the swipe left/right users got Apple to change back in watchOS 10.2. Maybe the swipe up users could provide enough feedback to get swipe up restored.

So, who are the people that are making these arbitrary decisions without considering the user experience? Apple had a bunch of new stuff they wanted to make available on the watch, so they decided to put it on the swipe up command, because everyone already uses it. Ok, but where to put the control center that was on the swipe up - oh, I know, let's move it to the side button, 'cause no-one really uses that a lot right now. Ugh!

How about, let's keep the really important stuff (control center) exactly where it was, because everyone knows how to find it already. And let's put the new stuff on a button that people don't use much. They have no idea how to manage the customer experience.

Apple does not read this user-to-user technical support forum for feedback.

Terrible feature change. Swipe up is so easy. Pressing the button is terrible, especially with a screen protector!

If the flat oval side button is giving you difficulties, then look at

Use AssistiveTouch on Apple Watch - Apple Support

Apple Watch -> Settings -> Accessibility -> AssistiveTouch

can be used to access things like:

o Control Center

o Apple Pay

o Emergency Services and the Power Off icon (labeled “Hold Side Button”)

o and many other things...

Totally agree, It would be cool if each button could be personalized that way if some prefer pressing a button they could choose to do so, but for me swipe up was simple and easy 😢

I agree changing how to access the Apple Watch screen didn’t require a change. Why the developers decided to do this, and NOT communicate it, is super annoying!

If enough user send similar feedback, then it will eventually reach a decision maker, and maybe in the future they will improve the UI change communications, and not just assume everyone reads a dozen Apple related blogs.

I love with every update you know they were thinking: how can we make this product worse?!?!? Let’s remove the one function everyone uses! Yayyyyyyyyy

You are not addressing Apple. This is just your fellow users.

But you can send feedback and if enough other users also send feedback, it is more likely it will reach a decision maker.

NOTE: There are over 200 million Apple Watches out there. A very tiny fraction post in these forums. I do not think you can say most of the users hate the changes. I know some like them very much.

But your feelings are yours, and you should tell Apple. These forums were setup so that uses could help each other, not to provide feedback to Apple.
