dead/static looking screen

my phone started acting up lately and looks like this. i can still feel the buttons on the screen but it stays like this. i have unlocked it multiple times and plugged it into mac and went to quicktime player>file>new movie recording>select your device and it will show the screen and it fixed it twice but now that stopped working. has this happened to any one else? and does any one have any ideas?
