Red and black screen when I plug my phone in
When my phone is locked and I plug it in the screen lights up in a red and black color. I got the new iPhone 15 2 days ago, and it hasn’t been dropped or anything. Is there something wrong?

if you want to get rid of this go to settings. The search StandBy click on it and turn it off.

This just happened to me but instead of just being plain black and red it said my name where I live and other personal information I don’t know if it s because I was hacked or something else but if someone else is having this happen please let me know because this is kind of freaking me out
does anyone know how to get rid of it ?
it scared me so good to know its not just me
Have you disabled the new function “StandBy” in your settings?
i have had the same problem so this is what I did:
I did this a month ago and I have not had this problem since.
I have the same issue too and it’s **** irritating. Got the phone for less then 3 days and it already appeared afew times zz
In the StandBy (Go to Settings-Standby)
The Night Mode is activated, resulting in the display changing to a red tint when there is low ambient light.
Turning it off will result in a standby mode display in a natural color.

Overheating may be the Culprit:
I'd say the iPhone is overheating. You are not the first to have reported this. Since the iOS17 release, overheating has been of big concern. So, I have yet to upgrade to it.
Troubleshooting an Overheating iPhone:
There are likely too many processes taking place. So, power off the phone, to let it cool, and then try clearing space. Have you recently filled you iPhone storage? Having low available storage can most certainly case overheating. process are likely taken up

2. Clear Space Using my User Tips:
See if you need to clear lots of space. System resources may be using up too much services, making it overheat. Internal storage cannot be upgraded. It is what it is. So, the maximum internal storage capacity never increases, even if you upgraded your iCloud plan. Learn More here: What's the Difference Between Device Storage and iCloud Storage? Apple Support

Thank you for the screenshot.
Being seen in the screenshot, it is not a hardware error.

Yes! Okay so not my full name but instead my GRANDMOTHERS full name and I just want to add that I don’t have her anywhere in my phone by her actual name, barely even talk to her, maybe once a year, and she’s not on Facebook so yes. That kinda sorta freaked me out. Wtf is going on Apple.
