unable to send gmail messages on Mac
I am not sure what info to put into the info for TLS and steps to take. I am not technically savvy and been trying to resolve issue to no avail. I cannot get the gmail account to come online.

when you visit http://www.gmail.com/ on Safari or Firefox or Chrome can you login the email that way?
If you can, you need to set the email settings for IMAP following these directions:
https://support.google.com/a/answer/9003945?hl=en
then setup an Other... account type using IMAP settings on your mail software to get your email on the Mac.
The prepackaged gmail account type has the wrong settings on older Macs.
