Remote Issue after TV OS 17 update

The center button (click/swipe) on my Siri Remote quit working after updating to TV OS 17 - Remote started to get glitchy, directional buttons and center did not work. TV slow to respond when pressing other buttons. Charged remote, restarted the Apple TV, followed steps in support article to fix Siri Remote issue, did full reset on Apple TV. Now everything but the center button is working. You can see the Apple TV react when the button is pressed but nothing happens. Also checked settings to make sure click/swipe is turned on.

Hello Eveie01,

If your Siri Remote isn't working as expected, please check out this link, which has some additional information and suggestions that may be helpful: If your Siri Remote or Apple TV Remote isn't working

Try these steps first

1. Stay within 20 feet (about 6 meters) of your Apple TV and move anything that blocks the path between your remote and the front of your Apple TV, television, receiver, and sound bar.
2. Charge your remote for 30 minutes using a USB-C to USB or Lightning to USB cable and a USB wall charger.
3. Unplug your Apple TV from the wall power outlet. Wait at least six seconds, then plug it back in.
If the volume buttons on your Apple TV remote stop working, learn what to do.

If the issue continues, please contact Apple Support, so they can assist further. You may be able to reach them here: Get Support

Thanks!
