Can't access my photos

I upgraded to Sonoma 14.o on my Mac and now I can't access my photo library.

Sonoma 14.1 problem with photo library I downloaded Sonoma 14.1 to my 2022 Macbook Air 2 days ago and I can't access my 2 photo libraries from my desktop. I get an error message that photos is locked and the little cloud sign has a strike through it. I can still access photos normally in the cloud. How do I fix this issue or do I need to download all the photos from the cloud back onto my desktop and if so how do I select them all to download in one go?

Sonoma Update keeps me from access my photos After I updated to Sonoma, my photo library disappeared. I still have my photo library on my hard drive, but when I double click it, or try to switch libraries in the Photos app to that library, it tells me "The library could not be opened" and that "it is in iCloud Drive, and needs to be moved to a folder on your Mac to open" but obviously it is not an iCloud file, because I can right click on it and 'Show package Contents' and the original photos are in there. Unfortunately, the photos are archived almost randomly, in folders labeled by single letters (A, B, C, etc.) and while I still have them, the thought of importing about 15 years worth of photos all at once with no organization leaved me wanting to jump out of my skin. All I need to do is figure out how to open this photo library that I've been using for years, but since updating to Sonoma it won't let me. Please help!

What happens when you try? Any error messages? What OS are you upgrading from? or are you migrating from an earlier app? Basically, we can't see your machine so we rely on you to give us the information to work with.

When I try to access my photos, all I get are the last few that I downloaded today from my Canon camera. I have a quite a few photos in my library as I have a Etsy shop. I'm not sure what OS I upgraded from. I guess it was the last one before Sonoma 14.0. No error messages. Thank you for your help!
