Battery draining fast on iPhone 15 Pro
Second day with the phone and had to charge it twice today and it’s back down to 19% after normal use…No apps running on background or extended use, battery health at 100% 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️

I just got my iphone 15 pro max on Friday. Today is Monday and the battery drains like crazy. All I have done today is make a 10 min phone call, and use Instagram for 15 mins and my battery went from 80 to 68. This has never happened with any of my older iphones
Hi DovydasJ
5-10% overnight with just wifi on is still a lot. Seems that apps/ photos or other stuff is updating while in battery as opposed to plugged in. I found the below article helpful.

With my 15 pro, the battery is up to 87% very good, but then it goes down quickly, I don't use it much either, because I'm at school and last night when I went to sleep I had 93% and after 6 hours when I got up I suddenly had 86%. They should mb bring a better update up for the battery

I’ve had my iPhone 15 pro now about 3 weeks and the battery drains at an insane rate. I’ve called Apple support and they’ve given me all sorts of suggestions on troubleshooting (including updating iOS) and ran diagnostics and said it’s fine. But there is no reason a brand new iPhone should be at less than 50% at 3:00 pm with little phone usage. I’ve also turned off all the apps from running in the background and it’s still now 7:00 and 19% and I’ve been so busy today I’ve hardly used my phone at all. This is exactly why I traded my last phone in and I’m having major regrets. I hate having to leave my phone stuck to a charger! It’s depleting rapidly. Please Apple, fix this issue!
NEVER turn off findMy off on iPhone.
Some pickpocket took my wife's iPhone14pro in NYC. He ran faster then us and we couldn’t find phone because findMy was off.
If it was on there were chances to remotely lock or find or marking it stolen
I’m still paying for that 14pro in TMobile
My wife and I both have the new iPhone 15 a couple months ago. My wife’s battery 100% full charge in the morning drains to about 10% within 8-10 hours. My phone on the other hand holds charge most of the day and by 10pm I may only be down to 60%. Is there a setting or something running in the background that’s draining her battery much faster than mine?
I think I’ve surpassed all of you. I have a 14 Pro Max. Using the internal speaker, it dies completely overnight with all background apps turned off except one white noise app. Last night I used Bluetooth ear buds and it lost 6%.
I can so relate. It’s nothing but regret for me. My 14 pro max plus won’t last the night (5 hours) on a full charge unless I use my earbuds. It gets blazing hot whether I use the charger or not. I went in, as well, and heard the same thing. (If you compare the earbud nights (lost 6%) to none (dies in 5 hours with full charge.)
Don't get me started on the camera.
My first two days of owning an iPhone 15 pro: I plugged in my phone as normal before bed and it was not fully charged by the morning. I made a phone call, checked emails, and by lunch my phone was at 11%.
I plugged it in again and it charged up to 13% then I checked it again after an hour and it was back to 11%. I had to use a wireless charger for three hours to get my phone charged to 92%.
Tomorrow I’m taking my phone in because this is unacceptable for Apple to be sending out “new” phones with ZERO battery capability. Beware before you buy! Such an expensive product only to immediately have issues- big disappointment.
Hi! You know how the Lock Screen is always kind of on on the 15? I think it drains the battery worse. There’s a setting under “display and brightness” I just turned off “always on display”. It’s better
I got an iPhone 15 Pro Max a month ago. Initially, drain overnight was only about 3%. Recently, it’s anywhere from 30% to 40% just idling. iOS just shows Find My as the app running overnight, but all my iPhones have shown that since AirTags were introduced.
This isn’t even my primary iPhone, so it’s barely being used. Background App Refresh and AOD are off.
Does anyone think the battery drain may relate to the default setting of always on display on the iPhone 15?
i also suffered the battery drain and I just turned off the always on display - so will have to see if it helps.
Would be good to know if this is a issue mainly in Europe/USA or other. I’m in Europe so have a SIM slot. Battery issue has resolved with the fixes I made but could just be a longer phone updating timeline compared to my previous iPhones. As in after you transfer data it takes more processing power and battery to finalise app’s etc
that should be a few days though 🤷🏼♂️
got the last two days with an average 6 hour usage. Charged at 11am yesterday morning to 100% and it’s now at 81% at 2.55 am with 2hr 1 min usage
I found a solution for iphone 15 battery drain out issue.
I noticed “hotspot” was turned on and also “Call on other devices” post update.
I turned off hotspot by going to settings —— hotspot and switch toggle to off
2. settings ——— cellular——— turn off call on other devices.
in addition make sure your bluetooth is off when not in use. Make sure to turn off through settings and not just from control panel. Settings —— Bluetooth—— turn toggle to off.
this has immensely helped me with iphone battery drain issue and my iphone 15 Pro Max is holding the charge all day despite me playing games and spending lots of time on social media. Hope this helps
