Battery draining fast on iPhone 15 Pro

Second day with the phone and had to charge it twice today and it’s back down to 19% after normal use…No apps running on background or extended use, battery health at 100% 🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

When you first activate it or do an iOS update, the iPhone always tend to drain the battery faster and this is due to the background process iOS does to optimize, including, but not limited to, syncing with iCloud, re-indexing your file system, photos, etc. (for faster search). This is normal and usually ends quickly, depending on the amount of data you have - the more data, the longer it takes.

Apple not intervening and not releasing any Fix to urgently correct this battery drain is just embarrassing for this ****** battery problem, this problem has really become like a soap opera, every year we always repeat and review the usual problems on this issue and who that's not what he says, he just wants to lie and pretend nothing happened. Now we will have to wait for the release of iOS 17.4....

Edit : They released iOS 17.4 yesterday, I only noticed it a little while ago, but reading the continuous reports that arrive, nothing has been resolved?? I can also think that there are production batches of iPhone 15s with defective batteries? Tell us what it could be?

Does anyone else’s phone also get hot it seems like when I use certain apps the back of the phone heats up like in the old days with older phones? I got this phone because the security was supposed to be better. I didn’t know I’d have to sacrifice performance and so many other things! I also found out by the way that we can scream yell, and Holler all we want on this feed an apple never sees it. If anybody knows where to go to make sure Apple sees it, please let me know.

my iPhone 15 pro max barely goes down when using it. However, when I’m not using it & no apps are open & background app refresh is off within a minute or two approximately 1-2% drops extremely quickly literally within approximately 1-2 minutes. But when I’m using it, it rarely drops in charge which is what’s weird lol. Anyone else have that same issue? Where it uses more battery not using it? By the way I have the always on screen off, location services off, background app refresh off, Bluetooth off, etc.

Maybe there is something wrong with my iPhone then. Because I’m up to date, and always on display has never been turned on.

as I said, Apple promises 23 hours of video playing. While Screen recording and internet navigation and WhatsApp drained my battery like it could run only for 6 hours. Anyways, thanks for your help, but clearly there’s something wrong with my phone 😅. I’d gladly share my screen recording if you ever want some proof.

have a good Sunday.

Actually, that’s not correct, there’s three choices under “charging optimization”
” optimized battery charging”
” 80% limit”
” none”

What is stated is correct.

Optimized Battery Charging uses intelligence based on your usage patterns to determine when to charge past 80%.

The 80% Limit is exactly that. Every so often (about every two weeks for me), it will charge to 100% in order to maintain calibration.

“With iOS 13 and later, Optimized Battery Charging is designed to reduce the wear on your battery and improve its lifespan by reducing the time your iPhone spends fully charged. When the feature is enabled, your iPhone will delay charging past 80% in certain situations.”

I’m using an iPhone 15 Pro which I bought it on 29th September or something. I have my charge my phone for atleast 2 times a day and my maximum capacity has been dropped to 94%. My cycle count is 253 as I use my phone very often and have a lot of work to do on it and I’m regretting spending such a high amount of this battery deficient phone. Even my old iPhone 11 would last till night in just one single charge. I’m in a financial struggle now and this battery issues is just making me regret more for choosing Apple. Is there anything I could do to fix the battery issue or help up with the battery capacity? Thank you.

I can't believe how much this thing is going through the battery - I bought this for BETTER battery life as my iPhone 13 battery was nearing the end of it's useful life and this thing is just as bad as my 2 year old 13 Pro!!!! Always on is not on. I just got it 3 days ago and I've already had to do three full charges. On this last charge I have just under 5 hours screen active. The claim is that it should be able to stream video for up to 29 hours (I've only watched 30 minutes of video in the last cycle). To say I'm not pleased is to put it mildly.
