Battery draining fast on iPhone 15 Pro
Second day with the phone and had to charge it twice today and it’s back down to 19% after normal use…No apps running on background or extended use, battery health at 100% 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️

I just got my iphone 15 pro max on Friday. Today is Monday and the battery drains like crazy. All I have done today is make a 10 min phone call, and use Instagram for 15 mins and my battery went from 80 to 68. This has never happened with any of my older iphones
I bought iPhone pro max 15 Dec 15 2023 , the battery very bad quality, I can’t believe as a big company like Apple how they make like this phone they need to respect there customers, I went to apple shop and there they didn’t do anything, unfortunately,
I got my new iPhone 15 pro towards the end of November. I noticed the first 50 % of my battery seems to disappear within the first hour of the phone being fully charged, and the last 50% will last longer. Not worth it, should’ve gotten the 14.
Yesterday I got home from work and my iPhone 15 pro was at 20% battery. I ordered this phone on launch day, so I have had it since October. This has never happened before. I charged it last night with my old iPhone 11pro standard block, long cable, and lightning to usb-c adapter, as I have done every night since I received the phone.
Today my phone was at 20% charge with minimal typical use, after 3 hours . I have closed all running apps, and rebooted phone.
The only unusual thing I see in my battery report is that a USB-c accessory is listed as using 26% of my battery, which I have never seen before. I did use my AirPod pros last night, but that was before the full charge overnight. My AirPods are currently charging in their case. Do AirPods fall into a USB-c accessory? I would appreciate any advice.
I just replaced my iPhone 12 with iPhone 15 Pro two days ago and battery drains super quickly. I did a restore from old phone and cleaned up my apps, photos and erased network settings. Any reason why this would be happening?
I am using iPhone 15 which bought in November, I have charged 100% in the morning and used Instagram and chatting apps and by 5pm it is 36%, and the battery health reduced 99%. I am worried now, I think this is serious issue, apple has to fix this. Phone with lesser price are battery use time for 24- 48 hours
I just got my iPhone 15 directly from the Apple Store shipped to my home on January 2, immediately upon set up, my battery started draining faster than my old iPhone 11 that just died that had a worn out battery. I have background app refresh, turned off, and I've proceeded to remove every app that I thought might be draining the battery, but I'm really disappointed because this phone is advertised as longer battery life. I've had iPhones back to the iPhone three and this is the worst battery life I've ever had for a $1000 device that's brand new. Battery capacity shows 100%. Just contacted Apple support and they act as if they knew nothing about this. I know that's not true because I've seen lots of post like this one right here in October .
Supports gave my only solution is return this $1000 device that still in the 14 day purchase return period.
This does not solve my issue and also just exchanging this device for another brand new iPhone 15 with the same battery drain issues is not going to help me. Is there anyone out there is having great experience with their iPhone, 15 battery life. is there anyone out there? Who's made any headway with Apple support on a solution for this battery drain issue for their latest and greatest device?
I just got off talking to Apple support today a few minutes ago and they act as if they know nothing about this issue and I've been told there's no solution at this point. I only purchased my phone on January 2, and have until January 16 to return it, and they're only solution to me was to return the phone, or possibly exchange the phone for another iPhone 15. I don't want to simply just exchange the phone for another iPhone 15 because based on everything I've seen here and other forums, the problem will exist on the replacement phone as well because this is a widespread issue. I'm terribly disappointed in Apple, not acknowledging this issue to this-date, considering this apple discussion community is on apple.com, and they clearly know about this issue by this point because I've seen Apple personnel responding on these forums in the past .
you're right it is an amazing phone but this battery drain issue is extremely disappointing for $1000 plus phone. I know Apple knows about this because I have reported it to customer service who don't have any resolution except returning the phone if it still within the return window. The other solution I got was trying to exchange the phone for another new iPhone, 15 and unfortunately I would expect I would have the same problem with another device because the seems widespread. Very disappointing the way Apple is blowing this off, they know about this, whether it's hardware issue or software issue, it's their most recent addition of the iPhone, and they should act quicker than this. The battery life I'm getting worse than the iPhone 11 that this phone replaced. Disappointed with no resolution.
well, if this is ""normal "" then they falsely advertise the battery life of the iPhone 15 series being better than their predecessors. To be honest that seems like utter lies at this point. It's not normal to have 5 to 10% battery draining an hour,. I've had iPhones going back to the iPhone three and never had an issue like this though we all know that these batteries and iPhones wear out overtime and when they've been used for a while, they do perform poorly. A brand new battery on a brand new iPhone 15 series phone should be acting immaculately well. This is very sad and apple is dropped the ball big time on this. The only thing I can speculate is there about to release the iPhone 16 and they don't give a hoot about the iPhone 15 customers.
that's a great idea. Very disappointed in Apple. Seems like they generally ignore issues and just start getting ready to release the next generation iPhone. I'm guessing they're ready to release the iPhone 16 already so they don't give a hoot about us iPhone 15 users. Makes me sad as a loyal apple customer for so many years. I expect more from Apple to its loyal customers, and after buying a 1000+ dollar devices.
Same problem here. Just switched to a iPhone 15 pro from a s21+ and the iPhone battery is lasting less then the Samsung used to, even it being a 2 year old phone. Sooo frustrating, I’m having something around of 5 hours of screen on time with a full charge, how is this Pro?
Can soneone tell me what to do with that? I have bought 15 pro max and my gf 15 pro and bought phones battery drains like crazy . It should last at least 1 day but its not real even half day…
apple should solve it, what a shame of the apple
I’m on day 3 and after making a few minor adjustments, I am noticing an improvement. I turned off automatic app updates and I forced the battery to run without optimization for one day. I also think the initial load of a new iPhone takes a few days to complete under the covers.
Same things has been happening to me and my iPhone 14 pro blow up after being dropped and I got something better through asurion verizon and i appreciate it and love using my iPhone 15 pro it's my perfect cup of tea
I think becos the display button is on all the time even when its locked that makes a huge impact on battery. Try to turn off the display on button, you can find it in the setting then display and brightness then scroll down you’ll see the display button then tur it off.
