Battery draining fast on iPhone 15 Pro

Second day with the phone and had to charge it twice today and it’s back down to 19% after normal use…No apps running on background or extended use, battery health at 100% 🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

I just got my iphone 15 pro max on Friday. Today is Monday and the battery drains like crazy. All I have done today is make a 10 min phone call, and use Instagram for 15 mins and my battery went from 80 to 68. This has never happened with any of my older iphones

i've had the same experience, to be honest I've never had to fiddle with the settings as much as I have with this phone just to help an iphone barely hang on for most of the day. I find myself constantly looking at the battery percentage dropping rapidly, rather than enjoying the other features of this phone, which I like, overall except for the battery issue. I see it's a broad widespread issue.

I’m so wary now. I never thought I’d be nervous to get another iPhone. I’ve been a silly fan boy since the iPhone 3 or so. I have a MacBook. lol. Friends tried to convince me to go to the dark side, but I’m hoping this 13 will be okay. You want to hear the most pathetic part of this? I almost added a new line just so I could use an old model. My intent was to just put this one in the drawer for whenever it was paid off.

I want to add—and this post might not make the grade—but if your cell company does allow you to trade down? Don’t pick the 14 Pro. That’s what I have. I’m here because I’m having the same problems. All of them. When they offered me a 15, I had to laugh. When they told me to wait til I’m due for an upgrade, I told them I didn’t want to wait til the 13 was out of stock…. I actually started bawling after a concert. I wasn’t able to get a single photo from it. A video. I don’t know if the 15 has the camera issues the 14 has, but steer clear.

Well it’s another day not much use today with 4 hours screen time and it’s a full day, 9am to 2am (17hours) and battery still over 60% so yeah was a drain to begin with but settled in and don’t see any issues here. I don’t see any issues running iOS 17.3 for a week now and no issues with battery.if you have issues I would say it’s not the phone but the way you have it setup.

It’s a $1000+ device, people shouldn’t have to turn this off that off disable all features in attempt to save some battery. It’s a bad first batch of phones that Apple just needs to own up to and mediate the problem. I returned my pre-ordered phone, waited a month for a new batch of phones to come around, re-purchased it, and now my phone works perfectly with all settings left alone.

UPDATE: I returned my 10 day old device (MFR date 10/23) and got a new 15 Pro (MFR date 11/23), Charged to 100% by 2:30 MT and with normal use, battery was still at 96% by 8pm. Woke up at 4am and battery was still 89%. I’m hopeful this is the end of the issue, and will update if any changes / issues.

FYI…in most states, consumers have 14 days to return a device that is defective for full refund or exchange. I know this doesn’t help those who have exchanged and still have persistent battery drain, but it is worth trying if you haven’t yet. We should not have to pay special attention to what apps are running and whether the display is always on, or not. Apple marketed this device as having the best battery life yet. Those of us long-time purchasers KNOW when our devices are performing optimally.

I’ve had my iPhone 15 for 3 months now and I’ve got to say the battery ain’t up to par. I can’t last at least 3 hours on my phone without it going to 20%. Also I’ve got to say, today my phone was overheating to use which is normal but I turned it off for like 5 minutes and my battery went to 40% to 36%. Apple needs to fix this issue with the battery draining as this is the latest model with the most ********* battery. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I’m confused. I got an email saying there was a reply to this but I can’t find it except for other people complaining about the same thing. Does Apple have a fix for this you have plenty of customers who have spent a lot of money on this 15 and we have a battery that won’t last a day!

I have had apples, computers and phones since the first desktop computer came out They have always been exceptional machines. I do not understand how you could put such a price on a phone that won’t hold a charge.

Also, the battery is draining this phone is getting hot! I haven’t had a phone get hot when I was using it since my second android.

What is up with this machine and please reply this time not with another person who is complaining although I understand them complaining but I would appreciate an Apple tech telling us what to do or if you can fix it and if not when you will fix it. or will you come out with a and expect us all to spend another fortune on a new phone that may have a fix! I one don’t plan on making that mistake again.

Well, the worst happened last week. After appalling battery drain issues, my iPhone 15 pro max completely gave up the ghost and died. The screen went off and the phone didn’t respond to anything. It wasn’t even being used at the time. It just completely died. It wasn’t even 1 month old.

I took it back to the shop (they already knew about my battery issue as I went into the shop 1 week after getting the phone to complain and request a replacement - so weren’t surprised to see me), and they couldn’t fix the problem. So they replaced the phone on the spot.

The good news is that the replacement phone seems to be issue-free with a good battery that is holding its charge really well.

My suspicion is that a large quantity of faulty phones have been potentially released by Apple. If this is the case, they should have issued a recall?

hi, can anyone update the situation on the 15 Pro?? I've had the phone for not even a month, but there is too much abnormal battery drain on the battery, I've tried to deactivate almost everything, the situation doesn't change because it still loses too much battery, obviously I'm referring to the night and the phone doesn't work no reason used. Did they fix something with iOS 17.3.1??
