I just finished setting up my new iPhone 15 Pro Pro I uninstalled some apps and when I’m trying to move one app out of a folder onto a blank space and home screen that goes back into the folder. Is there any issues with iOS 17 that could be causing this?

Troubleshooting Relocating iPhone Apps:
A. Start Here: Move Apps and Widgets on the Home Screen on iPhone - Apple Support
B. Reset the Home Screen Layout:
If apps and widgets are lost or are not working as they should, then you need to reset the Home Screen Layout...

You'd have to add back all the widgets that you can recall being back on there. So, make note of what on the Home Screen prior to the reset.
