I have a similar issue. Whenever I get an incoming call with my iPhone 15 pro, it looks like it connects with the person on the line but I can’t hear anyone. It happens on every incoming call with or without headphones on. For whatever reason the phone will actually connect if they call a second time (I have checked the settings, nothings on to make it ignore the first call). Also, I tested with my sister, I had her call me right before I had another call scheduled and it didn’t connect her incoming call but connected the call I had scheduled that came in a minute later. I have done a hard reset but no changes. Anyone else have a similar problem?

I have tried all the suggestions in this thread but at best they work for a short while and then the problem returns.

I have reset network settings, turned the phone off & let the Apple icon cycle, toggled the mute button, updated the software and forgotten my AirPods.

I was able to make a successful call this morning but then received a call this afternoon where the caller couldn’t hear me at all.

Any other suggestions - it’s pointless having a phone that can’t make/receive calls!

For me, the problem is intermittent. A call starts out OK but then In the middle of the call, the people can’t hear me. My remedy has been to shake the phone or tap it and sometimes they can hear me again sometimes not. Many times I hang up and call again and the whole scenario repeats.

none of the other remedies prescribed have worked for me. Because the issue is intermittent it is very difficult to say what fixes work and what doesn’t work.

This feels like a hardware problem not software. Comments anyone?

I have had this problem since getting new iphone 15 pro max in Feb 2024. I have tried changing networks and Apple have even replaced the phone! The issue continues. Even with mobile calling switched off and wifi calling on at home! Whatsapp calls are better. Issue is always for the other person on the call. I can hear them fine. I have no idea how to resolve this.

See my post above. Seems to work for everyone. Also new theory for any AirPod owners/users. With the additional touch feature to mute a call from the AirPod I have found I mute calls a lot verse hanging up like before the updates. Might be worth remembering to hold to hang up not just tap. Might be the cause of how the mute is mysteriously turning on and not reporting to be on.

After updating my iPhone 12 Pro to the new OS I started having this same issue. I should note I use Airpod Pros regularly. I bought an iPhone 15 Pro and I'm having the same issue. I "forgot" my Airpods and still callers couldn't hear me. Restarted my phone and all works fine now. I'm worried it'll keep happening. If it does I'll try tapping the mute button. Hopefully, there will be a fix soon. So aggravating!

My 15 pro works fine for all calls except when I call one of our doctors offices. I have to press 1 and the system can’t hear the one. So I end up waiting on hold and they can’t hear me at all when they answer, but I can hear them. The same thing is happening on my husbands 15 pro iphone.

I tried the turning off and recycling 4 times, that didn’t work. I put my AirPods in, that didn’t work, I pushed the mute button a bunch of times, that didn’t work either. Any other ideas?
