I had this same issue. Muting and unmuting while on a call a couple times solved it. I have the latest AirPods Pro, and used them earlier for a call. So it's possible I muted them, but the phone did not indicate it was muted. Went into AirPods settings and switched "mute" from Single Press to double Press to potentially keep it from happening again.

Yes me too, last couple of days nobody can hear me. Very frustrating. Applies solely to ‘regular old’ phone, WhatsApp voice calling etc. is fine.

The solution proposed here worked for me too, but it was not the rebooting, but the final enable/disable of mute on the first phone call that did the trick. before doing that the other person could still not hear me.

I’m having the same issue with one twist - it only happens to me when I get merged into a conference call. Just got the 15 pro max. Wasn’t doing it on my 13 pro max. Tested on my wife’s 15 pro max as well and it was doing it. About 90% of the time after merging into a conference call, the other people can’t hear me but I can hear them. I’ve tried everything suggested here and nothing works.

The solutions suggested here all worked temporarily for me, then the issue returned. People can't hear me and I can't hear them the first time one of us calls. On the second time one of us calls, we have audio. Interestingly, I also have this issue when answering a call on my Apple Watch.

I'm working on this issue with T-Mobile and mine seems to be an issue with the Wifi Calling. We verified that "Silence Unknown Callers" was set to off, and turned "Wifi Calling Off." That seems to have solved it (for now). I can't believe I bought the iphone 15 pro and it can't use it's own features. My spouse has an iphone 13 pro. Wifi calling is on for him and he never has this issue

Hi Cmegreen, Any success with your iPhone problem & do you still have to use "speaker"?

My iPhone 15 Plus crashed (no touch screen) after auto update iOS 17.3.1 and was repaired by me, in early February, with "iMazing" software. Yesterday (Feb. 27th), when I made two phone calls, using the "speaker" neither caller could hear me but I could hear them clearly. If I took it OFF of speaker then they could hear me and I almost always use "speaker" for phone calls.

Highly ticked off! I keep having this issue where people CANNOT hear me on calls! It last for several days and then just starts working again! I was told it was my old phone, so like a freaking idiot I upgraded to the iphone 15 pro max (WHICH I HATE BY THE WAY) and STILL have the issue!

This is ridiculous and Apple needs to get off their hind ends and get it fixed!

did you hit the mute button while on a call? I just got my phone on Friday and since Sunday, everytime I speak to a landline, I can hear them but they cannot hear me - after I read this forum, I tried pushing the mute on and then off but they still could not hear me. Apple has said there is nothing wrong with my phone after doing a diagnostic yet I am still having the issue - sometimes it is immediately, sometimes after 2-3 minutes and today I was able to speak for 34 minutes on one call before it happened and on another call, it happened almost immediately! It is extremely stressing me out.

I bought an iphone 15 last week. Same provider as with my other phone. Never had call issues. Now I

am inaudible on

calls. Combination of static and bits of words can be heard from me. The person

I am calling is very clear so I hear them. I have used the hints given. Turned phone off, cleaned mic etc. No change. I have never had ipods so it is not that. And am unlikely to ever buy another Apple product !

So I had the same problem with my iPhone 15 pro and immediately suspected an intellectual property conflict so I uninstalled all google products and that did the trick. I don’t know if this was an intentional coding move by Apple or if it’s a coding thing on Google’s side but it fixed it. I’m ok with it because I’m not a fan of Alphabet Inc.
