Trackpad on my MacBook Air not working post macOS Sonoma Update.

After updating the operating system to Sonoma 14.0, the trackpad on my 2022 M2 MacBook Air sporadically stops working. Restarting only temporarily fixes the problem.

Don't know if this will help anyone, but after I updated my laptop was having sporadic issues with the trackpad not selecting/deselecting things on the desktop, but not directly an issue with apps. Turns out I left a bluetooth keyboard in my desk drawer that was holding space + shift when things shifted, and being connected to the laptop obviously caused absolute chaos. Just in case anyone out there is going for a full downgrade to sort the problem out and haven't thought of it! (mildly embarrassing).

Idk if some of you have the same problem but my trackpad sometimes doesn't want to unlock itself at all even at the startup screen it wouldn't let me type my password. I had to do not just one but at LEAST a few hard resets for it to unlock but only temporarily until it locks up again. I took this back to the Apple Store once to get it looked at and one employee did all the diagnostics of the software and check for any potential damage which showed no issues at al besides the trackpad itself. Now it has become very frustrating because I just got this laptop not too long ago and I never saw no other MacBooks even with older versions don't lock up at random.
