i have my contact poster set up and ready.
but my friends who already have ios17 and their own contact poster, is not showing on me, and i dont have the option, on their contact card, to update the info. When i click on the contact option of my friends, i only get the option to costumize it by myself…eventho i tought it was automatic…on my friends phone is working as intended. I own an iphone 13

If they have everything set up properly and you continue to experience the same behavior, the following steps may be able to help correct this behavior:

We're a bit confused by your post. We'd like to ask some questions to make sure we're on the same page here. Are you saying your Contact Poster isn't displaying when you call other people with iOS 17? Or are you saying that caller's Contact Poster isn't working?
It's important to also mention: Add or edit your contact info and photo on iPhone
You can choose to share automatically with Contacts Only, or select Always Ask to be prompted before your name, photo, and poster are shared with anyone you’re communicating with.

I'm saying that, my friend who has a contact poster already, isn't showing on me when he calls me, and i don't have a prompt to update it's contact poster either.
I eard that if we trade some iMessages we get a prompt to update the info of the contact but that is not happening to me.
Also, if i open my friend contact options, it only says there: PHOTO AND CONTACT POSTER.
If i press that, it will tell me to MANUALLY put some picture i have on my iphone library, not to UPDATE his own poster.
