can you do a mass email delition

i have to many email to delete and it seems like evrytime i try to "delete all" it doesnt work and i need the space on my phone.

iPhone 12 mini, iOS 17

Open the mailbox you want to clear, tap Edit, then Select All, then Trash. It’s best to do this on Wi-Fi with the phone plugged in, because each email that is deleted must also be deleted from the server, and this can take time.
