M1 Mac Book Pro - Apple ID not being accepted on Mac , OS ventura 13.6

I changed my Laptop password a few weeks back due to corporate standards(90 days)...

As part of the changes, I logged out of my Apple ID, and now I need help logging back in - I can log in using the same password on my phone and iPad but not on the Mac, which seems odd.

In settings Sign In, I enter my Apple ID and password and get a spinning wheel for a few seconds.

The password field disappears, and the screen clears the data entered and defaults back to the blank AppleID field - No error message; it just removes the Apple ID and the password and goes back to the original screen - it seems odd that it accepts the password but doesn't sign in?

Hey there stretch_99,

Are you using a VPN or security software on your Mac or the network it is connecting to? If so, one of these may be interfering with your Mac's ability to properly communicate with the Apple ID servers. Perhaps connecting to a different network and trying again would be a good step to take. You'll find additional steps to take linked below.

If you can't connect or sign in to iCloud

Have a good one!
