Formatting emails on iPad Pro

Since installing iOS 17 on my iPad Pro I can no longer find formatting options for writing emails. Can anyone advise me how to find it please?

Assuming that you are using the native Mail App - the text formatting tools are accessed from the aA button located within the on-screen keyboard...

iPhone 15 Max: Text editor formatting re-enables iOS 26.3 iPhone 15Max - Text editor in iOS Mail creation refuses to turn off formatting. I turn formatting on, make change, attempt to turn formatting off, select for text entry, and then formatting comes back on with selected text. No obvious reason why this happens.
