My iPhone won't turn on

I tried pressing and quickly releasing the volume up and down buttons and then hold the screen button with not results.

Same thing just happened to me. Charge the phone overnight. The phone screen went black in the morning. The phone still rings when a call comes in. There is no way to turn the screen back on.

The exact same thing just happened to me with my practically new iphone 15 pro max (that I've had for less than a month.)

Charged my phone overnight, the alarm woke me up this morning but the screen wouldnt turn on at all. Calls still coming through to a black screen. I turned the phone on and off but still nothing.

forced reboot saved my device. It definitely works - please do this first if you find yourself in the same situation.

This has happened to me twice in one week. I Phone 15 pro max - charged overnight, with Apple cable. Blank screen in the morning but I can hear it's working. Tried the forced restart and nothing. Dialled the phone from a landline and it rung but blank screen. (I also have an Apple Watch which was vibrating) Plugged in again with another alternative Apple cable and forced restart again, still nothing but as I removed the charging cable it suddenly came to life. What is the suggested solution for this as it is still under warranty and it appears to be a known problem? I didn't have any issues with my previous I Phones - really not impressed??

Hi everyone,

The same thing happened to me, except I was unable to turn my phone back on. My iPhone 15 was working completely fine in the morning. After about ten minutes, my screen was black and completely unresponsive. I tried all of the above fixes and nothing worked. I took it to the Apple Store after work and they tried to restore it with a Mac and that also did not work. They told me it was a hardware issue and they'd have to replace the hardware, but because of a small crack on my screen they could not do so without charging me $300 to replace the screen. I ended up having to go through Verizon (my warranty provider) and get a completely new phone.

Happened to me also. I charged my iPhone overnight and once I needed to look up something it was black so I decided to hold down the power button and volume button but nothing happened, no Apple so once I let go I heard a screenshot sound so I pressed the two buttons again and heard another screenshot sound. It’s like my phone is alive but in the casket. 😂

it just turned on. I asked siri a question wondering if she’d respond and she did but when she wouldn’t read me what she found I gave up so I pressed the power button and it turned on. I don’t know if that’s why it turned on but it took 10 minutes.

I just had to have my 15 Pro Max replaced less than 30 days after purchase due to the same issue. My phone was plugged in over night and when I woke up I tried to login to my email on my phone and then the screen went black. It kept cycling between off and the black screen with Apple logo and none of the reset methods worked. I took it to the Verizon store and they couldn't fix it but replaced it because it was less than a month old.

So disappointed in this product. The cell signal also wasn't very good from the beginning and the battery would get extremely hot when using FaceTime or playing games like Roblox. Hopefully the replacement lasts longer. Not sure how much longer I'm willing to put up with faulty Apple products.
