MBA battery health dropped to 96% in just 4 months

My MacBook Air M1 2020 battery health dropped to 96% in just 4 months i.e. 49 Charge cycles

It was 98 but dropped 2% in 2 week after updating to Sonoma

Is this normal?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 14.0

This is perfectly normal and quite good actually.

Battery degradation is neither predictable nor linear.

Remaining capacity is the metric to watch, not cycle count. Turn battery optimization ON and charge your battery fully letting the mac's charging circuitry handle battery health.
